Congratulations to all of the competitors of the 2009 race.  Many course records were broken this year and many athletes posted personal bests on the day.  The weather was perfect for racing after Saturdays winds.

2008 men's champion Tom Evans held off a charging Jonathan Caron to take the win by 18 seconds.

2009 champion Miranda Alldritt played catch up all day with the rest of the woman's field to take the win just 28 seconds of Kristin Baker of Edmonton.

The race saw 901 competitors hit the water and enjoy the new one loop swim course with new course records.  The scenic and challenging bike course saw fast times and new course records for both the men's and woman's fields.  The run  conditions changed throughout the day with sunny and 25 degree weather to slight breeze as athletes enjoyed the new section of the Hike and Bike pathway recently completed.

2010 REGISTRATION will open Monday, June 15th.  Look for further information about next years race in the coming days.

We would like to thank the Town of Oliver for their continued support and all of the 600 plus volunteers for their incredible support of the event.  We greatly appreciate the support of the Town and the Ministry of Transportation and Highways for the repaving of Black Sage Road.

Located in the beautiful south Okanagan community of Oliver, BC, this race is a half Ironman distance competition consisting of a 2 km swim, 93 km bike and 21.1 km run.  The race  features a 2-loop swim in the protected waters of Tuc-el-Nuit Lake in the heart of Oliver, a 2 loop bike course in the lower Okanagan Valley featuring parts of the famous  Ironman Canada course past Oliver wineries and  ends with a 2-loop run through quiet residential neighborhood and along the banks of the Okanagan River.

This fast course has seen professional triathletes Michellie Jones, Tom Evans, Matt Seeley and 2-time Ironman  World Champion, Lori Bowden.  The support of Oliver  and the surrounding communities before, during and after the event is what truly separates this race from most others.

Race with us and enjoy a new standard of support  both on and off the course, and explore the "Wine Capital of Canada" with over 24 wineries in the area after the race with friends and family!
