Established in 2003 Tri Geeks Multisport was created to enhance the sport of triathlon by providing quality triathlon merchandise along with support and encouragement to athletes of all levels.
Here is a little about the Tri Geeks themselves:
Tanya Williams: A mid-pack triathlete, Tanya entered the sport of triathlon eight years ago as a new mom looking for a challenge & some training time for herself. Triathlon continues to be her passion and she loves to talk with athletes about the sport.
David Williams: As a dedicated support crew for his wife and his son, this "Triathlete-In-Waiting" knows the ins and outs of triathlon after years of service as support crew as well as the extended hours dedicated to observation from the side-lines. We expect he might actually be training in secrecy and will one day surprise us with a race entry...
"Cheering should be considered a sport"
Justin Williams: At age 8, Justin is a dedicated triathlete who cross trains often jumping from his bike to running laps in his driveway. Justin completed his first triathlon in the summer of 2005 in Qualicum Beach and loved every moment of his 5 minute sprint. The race didn't phase him one bit and the medal and ice cream at the finish line were more than enough to make him ask, "can I do that again next year?" Yes, Justin continues to race triathlons and enjoys sports in general.
Welcome to Balance Point Racing!
Their team concept was developed with two primary goals in mind:
1) To support a small but dedicated group of high performance athletes, to help them fulfill their long term goals. They began working with 4 athletes who were working on their own personal 5-10 year plans and now have over a dozen High Performance athletes involved with the program. Each athlete is working towards goals that culminate in various international events. These goals include performing well at World Championships for Ironman, Xterra, and the Olympics. Each athlete has dedicated themselves to continued athletic development and knowledge, following a very progressive training program that focuses on their personal long term goals. You can read more about this amazing group of athletes on the Team Roster, and in special sections of the BPR Forum.
2) To draw in a broad range of athletes that are looking for a support network as they work towards their own personal development. They aim to share knowledge with any motivated athlete, from novice to elite and are a club that prides itself on education as a major component of the coaching process.
We are very excited to be working with Balance Point Racing and Chris Willett. Check out their website for camp dates etc..
